Mark is CEO of the intelligent Avatars inc, in Canada. His background in computer technology began over 20 years ago. His professional experience includes the co-development of an internet-based supply chain for North America's auto parts industry, sales and marketing computer services for commercial real estate projects, and as a personal investment broker/planner. Shahin Maghsoudi (Operations Director, New Zealand)
Shahin is the Technical Director and in charge of operations in New Zealand. He has a MSc. Hon. in computer science, major artificial intelligence from the University of Auckland and a BSc. in systems engineering. He is working on adding common-sense reasoning to artificial intelligence core of the Robots.
He has been working in multi-media systems development industry in last two decades and is guest lecturer of multimedia course in the University and is founder of Robot-Hosting and Sector 57, (the computer game development company).
The technology he developed for Robot-Hosting received several awards including the Multimedia Award in 2004 from the University of Auckland. The highlights of unique systems functions are outlined in two academic papers that he has published in computer science and cybernetics journals.

Cees Van Heemert (Sales Director)
Cees (pronounce as "Case") has over 30 years of experience in leading companies from an early developing stage to maturity and worked in the USA, Europe and Asia Pacific including Japan, India and China.
He managed businesses through direct and indirect channels and has extensive experience in managing turnkey IT solution providers, having run his own system integration business in Europe. He sold his interest in his business in the mid eighties and subsequently ran a consulting business providing solutions for government businesses in the Netherlands, Belgium. Luxembourg, France, the UK and Scandinavia.
Cees studied Mechanical Engineering and Computer Technology. He worked in his early days as an IBM Systems programmer building operating systems software and system tools. He lead several software companies in their expansion and guided them to IPO exit or mergers.
The last ten years he was the VP for companies working in the Business Intelligence space in the Asia Pacific Region. Cees has been a resident of New Zealand since 1994.

Peter Savage (Financial Director)
He has over seventeen years commercial and project-finance experience in the banking and finance sector after graduating from Auckland University with a bachelor's degree in commerce, accountancy and finance. His industry experience includes manufacturing, property, transport, power-generation, telecommunications, new technology, and internet sectors, where he has advised on working-, development-, and acquisition-capital transactions. He has held various appointments with UDC Finance and ANZ Banking Group as a commercial lender, Trilogy Business Systems as a commercial accountant and as an equities analyst with Hamelyn Group, a merchant investment bank. Peter's initial career was in civil engineering.

Rick Bookham (Education Advisor)
He has a MSc. in Education and is the Chief Learning Officer. He has twenty years of experience teaching Math and Science. He was a project manager for Alberta Learning, the largest government e-learning developer in Canada and one of the largest in North America. He holds a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Western Washington, an undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta and a teacher training certificate from the University of Minneapolis. Rick has won two fellowships for developing resource material for "at risk" students and has presented at numerous conferences in Canada and the North America.

Peter from time to time gives us valuble advice regarding the technical expectations of the business clients.
He has been a consultant for mainly FMCG customers of Cap Gemini and worked in a number of Supply Chain projects in Europe, including ECR related initiatives. He has been a consultant for B2B and B2C e-commerce start-ups.
He is CIO at Farmers Trading Company and has built an extensive network of CIOs at retailers in Europe, Asia and America. He is regular speaker at conferences on IT architecture in retail and has case studies published in local and international magazines. Some of them are in our site.

Dr. Richard Wallace (Academic Advisor)
Dr. Richard S. Wallace earned his Ph.D. in computer science from Carnegie Mellon in 1989. He is a respected and famous computer scientist and his work has been featured in the Guardian, the Financial Times, Scientific American, The New York Times, WIRED, Salon, L. A. Weekly, Slashdot, USA Today, Nature, the San Diego Union -Tribune, New York Post, Premiere and Entertainment Weekly, and on ABC, BBC, CNN, CNET, TechTV, and ZDNet, in feature films and in numerous foreign language publications across Asia, Latin America and Europe. His research won the Loebner Prize, an annual artificial intelligence competition in 2000, 2001 and 2004.

Kim Sullivan (Programmer - R&D)
Kim is currently working towards completing his MSc in Computer Science. His main specialization is systems programming, compilers, grammars, finite automata and pattern matching, but he's also interested in computer graphics, databases and software development methodologies.
